Celebrating The 45th Anniversary Of Bad Company: Simon Kirke featuring Graham Alexander and Co.
Drummer Simon Kirke kept the beat as a founding member of two of the 70s most popular bluesy hard rocker bands - Free and Bad Company. A multi-instrumentalist, Kirke is best known for his loose, yet powerful back-beat drumming and for co-writing hits like, "All Right Now," "Can't Get Enough," "Bad Company" and "Ready for Love," with longtime bandmate and singer, Paul Rodgers. Though Simon is often found out on the road touring with Bad Company or Ringo's Starr & His All-Star Band, he continues to be a prolific singer-songwriter and storyteller, performing inspiring fresh material from his new solo album, "All Because of You," his third full-length solo LP, qualifies as an escape – with a catch: The hard-grooving percussionist spends most of his time in front of the band, crooning into a microphone while strumming a guitar or ukulele. All Because of You maintains a bubbly simmer throughout – even on a uke-driven cover of the earthy Bad Company anthem "Feel Like Making Love" that wouldn't sound out of place on a Collective Soul LP.
