Jim Verdeur is a Philadelphia based saxophonist, multi-instrumentalist, composer, arranger and educator. He has performed with and/or shared the stage with national acts such as The Beach Boys, Simon Kirke of Bad Company, The Soul Survivors, Devo, Bill Bruford, Liberty DeVitto, Dick Dale, Southern Culture on the Skids, Commander Cody and His Lost Planet Airmen, Third World, David Uosikkinen’s “In The Pocket” as well as numerous Philadelphia artists. Jim has also scored commercials that have aired on network television and has composed music that has been published internationally by Carl Fisher Publications. He is an artist endorser for Yamaha Musical Instruments, D’Addario Woodwinds and Theo Wanne Mouthpieces. While maintaining a busy performance schedule, Jim has served as instructor of saxophone and jazz improvisation at Chestnut Hill College and currently teaches instrumental music in suburban Philadelphia.
